Al Donald, the founder of our company, boasts an illustrious career spanning over 48 years in the construction industry, rooted in the vibrant landscape of Florida. His journey commenced in 1975 when he earned his license as a contractor, and since then, he has been a force in shaping the landscape of the region. Beginning as an apprentice carpenter, Al's passion and dedication propelled him swiftly through the ranks, culminating in his graduation as a journeyman carpenter at the youthful age of 23.

The seeds of Al's expertise were sown early in his life, as he absorbed the nuances of the trade from his father, a revered carpenter and superintendent for a prominent general contracting firm. Under his father's mentorship, Al honed his craft, absorbing invaluable lessons that would form the bedrock of his career. For the formative six years of his journey, Al's father served as not just a mentor but a guiding light, instilling in him the ethos of craftsmanship and integrity that would define his company.

 In 1995, Al Donald, armed with his wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, founded MacDonald Builders, Inc. The company swiftly garnered acclaim for its prowess in executing residential, multifamily, and commercial construction projects, earning a reputation as a model of quality and reliability in the industry.

The year 2000 marked a significant milestone for MacDonald Builders, Inc. with the entry of Al's son, Jeffrey Donald, into the fold. Jeffrey's arrival lead to the inception of the siding and soffit division, a venture that would prove instrumental in shaping the company's trajectory. Together, father and son embarked on a journey of innovation and growth, propelling MacDonald Builders to the pinnacle of success.

However, the tumultuous upheavals of the real estate market in 2008 triggered a shift in the company's focus. Undeterred by the challenges posed by the market downturn, Al and Jeffrey pivoted decisively towards remodeling, recognizing it as a niche with great potential. 

In 2009, the company underwent a transformation, rebranding itself as A&E Remodeling, LLC, to better reflect its renewed principles and values.
